The Cumbrian Coast Explorer
On Saturday 3rd July 2010 Hauled throughout by 71000 Duke of Gloucester the last express passenger steam locomotive to be built by British Rail. Starting from Crewe and picking up passengers at Warrington Wigan and Preston we travel around the Cumbrian Coast line and after a break in Carlisle we return home via the Settle Carlisle line. We will be using the Great Briton set of Pullman style carriages.

On Thursday 15th July 2010 Join us for a steam-hauled journey in the company of 71000 "Duke of Gloucester" the last express passenger steam locomotive built by British Railways to the historic cities of Bath and Bristol. Departing from Preston a diesel locomotive will haul our lovingly restored "Royal Duchy" set of chocolate and cream carriages to Crewe picking up at local stations en route.
